"Regardless of subject matter or theme, painting is interesting and exciting to me when I am totally captured and captivated by the creative process. It is always fun, and it can be, at times, a true transcendent experience.

My hope is that my paintings hold moments frozen in time. Some might catch the graceful stillness or quirky expressions of the gull, others the rugged beauty of an old boat lost in a field of memories, the mystery behind a Provence Blue door, the surreal quality of a colorful yet slightly off-center Italian hillside village.

Ideally, the viewer is able to enjoy their own unique moment in time. On rare and magical occasions, the viewer is changed by the experience."
